Résumé

Within my master’s 2 internship Energy Transition, conducted at EVOLEN, a French association gathering close to 300 companies and 1000 experts from the energy sector, I actively participated in the activities of the pole of Energy Transition. The internship took place in a strategic context marked by the decarbonization of industries and the development of sustainable solutions in priority sectors like offshore wind, hydrogen, CCUS (Carbon capture utilization and storage), and synthetic fuels. I had three main domains of missions. First, I supported the Offshore Wind Committee, by preparing agendas, documents, and coordinating exchanges between stakeholders. This involved participating in a French offshore wind actors mapping, by comparing their industrial capacities with national targets of 45 GW by 2050, thereby highlighting the maturity and scalability of the supply chain. Second, I worked on international and event-related activities, including the organization of the International Offshore Wind Technical Conference (IOWTC 2025), which will take place for the first time in France on October 27-29. This role gave me exposure to a wide range of industrial and academic stakeholder, while enhancing my abilities in the fields of project management and coordination. I also conducted market studies abroad on offshore wind, by identifying the strategic opportunities for French players in overseas markets. Third, I contributed on the work of publishing a technical note on offshore production of hydrogen, by analyzing the economic and technical conditions to produce hydrogen at sea from renewable sources, and by evaluating its potential contribution to the energy transition. Aside from these tasks, the internship remained a fruitful professional and human experience. It also gave me a chance to network with the energy professionals, learn from the latest developments, and reinforce my commitment to advancing renewable energy and supporting decarbonization initiatives.
