Abstract

With the growing need for sustainable energy sources, biomass liquefaction has emerged as a promising technology for the production of biofuels. This process involves breaking down biomass into liquid oil, which can then serve as an alternative to fossil fuels. Recent studies have highlighted the significant influence of heterogeneous catalysts on the yield and quality of the resulting bio-oil. The objective of this internship is to analyze the biomass liquefaction process, focusing specifically on the impact of various catalysts. This work, still in progress, involves conducting experimental processes to evaluate the efficiency of catalysts. By optimizing the base liquefaction process, the goal is to enhance the yield and quality of bio-oil. Subsequently, an in-depth analysis will be conducted to compare the performance of these catalysts, with the aim of identifying the most effective ones for industrial applications.
