Abstract

In the aerospace industry, supersonic vehicles are increasingly made thinner and lighter, which enhances their susceptibility to deformations and fatigue. This internship report explores the interaction between a shock wave and a deformable wall in a transonic flow by developing two new metrological methods. A fast imaging technique with two cameras is used to reconstruct the deformation of a viscoelastic wall by triangulating markers. Additionally, pressure-sensitive paint is utilized to measure surface pressure. These methods aim to provide data that improve the accuracy of predictive models for wall deformation.
