Abstract
The aim of my internship project is to simulate cracking in a 3D-printed duplex steel using a weakly anisotropic phase field. It is part of a research project aimed at understanding and modeling the behavior of a 3D-printed duplex steel, which is being carried out by several researchers at ENSTA’s Mechanics Unit (UME). The aim of my internship is to simulate fracture tests on duplex steel CT specimens 3D printed by David ROUCOU. All this using a computer program, solving the system by phase field, written by Flavien LOISEAU. This study led me to implement a model of the material’s anisotropic behavior, and then to study the influence of the specimen’s mesh size on our simulations.
