Abstract

This report investigates the impact of aggregation on the flexibility of energy programming within modern electrical networks. With the increasing adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and smart technologies in households, the efficient management of energy demand has become a significant challenge. This study explores the use of aggregation techniques for optimizing energy distribution, particularly focusing on the demand from small consumers. Through a combination of theoretical analysis and simulation-based models, this report evaluates the effects of different aggregation methods, both regional and local, on energy flexibility. The findings suggest that while aggregation simplifies network management, it also presents opportunities to enhance the system’s operational flexibility. The results underscore the importance of balancing model simplification with the need for operational efficiency in energy network management. This study contributes to the broader understanding of how aggregation can be leveraged to improve energy programming in modern electrical grids.
