Abstract
The microcontroller industry is a rapidly growing sector, fueled by the proliferation of smartphones, the shift to electric vehicles, and the increasing need for medical devices for an aging population. Microcontrollers, which integrate a processor, memory, and input/output peripherals on a single chip, are essential in applications such as home appliances, automotive systems, and IoT devices. Their low cost and power efficiency make them ideal for embedded systems, particularly in IoT deployments. As microcontrollers evolve to support AI models like neural networks, they are becoming vital for developing the next generation of intelligent, compact devices. This research project develops educational material on applying IoT and AI on STM32 microcontrollers, showcasing how a neural network model can accurately infer values in noisy data using minimal computational resources, demonstrating the potential of AI in embedded systems.
