Abstract

This report presents the work conducted during my internship, focused on improving the monitoring and maintenance of railway infrastructures. I developed advanced processing tools, including filters and a wavelet transform, to analyze accelerometric data. Algorithms were designed to detect structural discontinuities in track equipment, such as insulated rail joints and track crossings, to identify and monitor the evolution of these irregularities. In addition, visualization tools were implemented to represent the progression of these discontinuities over time, and the impact of maintenance activities on their development was evaluated. These contributions aim to optimize predictive maintenance strategies, enhancing the safety and durability of railway infrastructures.
