Abstract
Hydropower is a manageable non-carbon energy source that can meet flexible demand while securing the grid. To optimize the use of this resource, which is heavily constrained by the multi-use of water, EDF has developed several tools. This report focuses on SolHyd, the solver dedicated to short-term optimization (1 week), intended to be used by the medium-term hydraulic planning tool Morgane (few weeks to 3 years) and the short-term hydraulic planning tool Apogène. This in ternship focuses on improving the SolHyd solver, particularly on incorporating constraints related to the concavity breaks in the remuneration functions of the plants.
