Abstract
The objective of this internship is to initiate the modeling of a direct-contact heat exchanger between microscopic water droplets and an airflow for cooling applications in aeronautics. The study therefore begins with a literature review on heat exchangers. This provides the basis for designing a new geometry aimed at regulating the cooling fluid temperature in fuel cell systems. Several simulations are then carried out to model the different fluid dynamics phenomena occurring between the phases. The results of these simulations are used to guide the design of experimental tests with the aim of validating them.
