Abstract
The operational performance of ESPs at Perenco — which account for around 50% of the group’s oil production — is a key factor in optimizing output and reducing maintenance costs. The analysis of pump failure reasons is therefore essential for assessing reliability and identifying areas for improvement. Until recently, the reporting and analysis of ESP failures were performed in Paris using heterogeneous, manually filled Excel files, making data consistency and traceability difficult to ensure. The objective of this project was twofold: first, to draft a complete requirements specification for redesigning the ESP failure and Pull Out Of Hole (POOH) reporting form within OPSREF; and second, to migrate and consolidate 8,600 historical data lines from the legacy Excel system into the centralized Snowflake environment. This work directly contributes to the digitalization of Perenco’s Artificial Lift department, providing standardized, reliable, and exploitable data to support advanced performance analysis and predictive maintenance tools.
