A method for nding the solution of wave propagation problems in locally perturbed periodic media has been developped through Sonia Fliss' PhD. This method uses the solution of Helmholtz problems on bounded domains and the solution of an integral equation in Floquet variables. In this paper, we first sum up the outlines of this method, then we present a discretization method which takes into account the compatibility problems between the Helmholtz problems and the integral equation. Finally, we exhibit a pratical example on which we can compute explicit error estimates.
