Abstract
This report presents the final year project that I did in the Marine Commercial Division of Bureau Bureau Veritaseritas. During this internship I carried out two main tasks : First, the geometric model of a FPSO that will be integrated in the HLC software. This software allows users to keep track of every inspection or maintenance operation done on the vessel. Then, the Fatigue analysis of this FPSO’s bilge keel. This study was conducted using finite elements models with the software Femap and Hydrostar. The main effects that were taken into account in this fatigue study was the hull girder bending moment and the water pressure on the bilge keel. These effects were studied separately and the calculations showed that the hull girder bending moment was the dimensioning stress on this structure.
