Abstract
This document gathers the work carried on a study aiming at assessing the valuation of electricity production assets’ flexibility using an imperfect forecast modelling. It first gives a short description of the UK energy market and a review of existing studies on the topic. Then the methodology proposed by EDF Energy to answer that problematic is presented. For that purpose, a tool has been constructed, it integrates an imperfect forecast modelling feature to Plexos, the current energy modelling tool used by EDF Energy for optimal dispatch schedules. Its main principles and the tool itself are presented as well as the results obtained and their interpretation. Finally, a description of my inputs with regards to this work is given, describing the main phases of my internship, the difficulties I encountered and the next steps of the study.
