Abstract

The purpose of this project is to develop a statistical mathematical process to model the fluctuation of electricity consumption and hydraulic production under the influence of climate variability. An analysis of the data will be established first, then numerical simulations will validate the proposed model. This project is part of the European project CLIM2POWER. Its objectives are to evaluate the performance of different approaches in demand forecasting : statistical models, time series models and artificial intelligence models such as decision trees and artificial neural networks. This project also involves selecting the most effective techniques that will be used in a forecasting system.
