Abstract

This work describes a set of improvements in a laser-plasma accelerator. It provides a brief presentation of wakefield regimes, formulates conditions and scaling laws for the case of the bubble regime. The experimental part explains the technique of the generation of few-cycle pulses and describes 3.7fs, 2.8mJ (on target) 1 kHz laser as a driver in electron generation as well as improvements made aimed at increasing its performance.
