Abstract

Autonomous vehicles seem to be a promising alternative to individual cars, as more and more cities are developing projects to implement such vehicles in their territories. However, they could also be beneficial in rural area, with social and economic impacts besides environmental and safety ones. As part of a wider project to study the implementation of autonomous shuttle services in a German rural area, criteria are being determined and a potential itinerary is created using a graph of the area in this internship report. The use of the shuttle is also studied and computed. This project results to be promising, but some issues raised still have to be dealt with.
