Abstract
Decentralized Finance is an ecosystem on the rise designed to offer a wide range of opportu- nities – some of which allow its users to go beyond the existing limits of traditional finance. However this financial system is relatively new and is still massively developing, therefore decentralized applications are prone to attacks which take advantage of undetected failures. These attacks hinder safe expansion as well as attractivity of the ecosystem. This project analyzes five attacks and then classifies them by regrouping common features and attack vec- tors. We present security tools able to prevent attack issues. A list of security principles is compiled from existing solutions, to which potential improvements were added. Some essen- tial conditions for a safer expansion of decentralized finance are brought to light : constant security checks as well as the progressive development of applications with consideration for risk control and the entire ecosystem it evolves in.
