Abstract
The code optimization in the synthesis phase is a program transformation tech- nique, which tries to improve the intermediate code by making it consume fewer resources (i.e. CPU, Memory) so that faster-running machine code will result. As the algorithms we created become more and more complex, optimization becomes more and more essential as we need the code to be run a an acceptable amount of time. In this paper, I will wrote about my experience in optimization during my internship at Medical Research Council Biostatistics Unit of Cambridge University.
