Abstract
In the 5G networks’ context, new services are emerging and a new way of providing them through Service Function Chains (SFC) is in development. In addition to minimizing the costs of maintaining the network, the network service providers have to meet the service level agreement which potentially defines a requirement for the service’s availability. We propose a new way of integrating such availability constraints in our solving method. We also provide a Dantzig-Wolfe decomposition coupled with column generation. Our approach succeeds in finding a feasible solution with good quality for medium sized instances. Keywords: Virtual Network Functions, Service Function Chain, Availability,
