Abstract
The purpose of this study is to apply the concept of complex networks to cardiovascular flows to identified the Lagrangian Coherent Structure (LCS). First, the method will be applied to a simple theoretical flow, a Double Gyre. At the same time, we will try to optimise the parameters of the nodes and particles of the network. Then the tools developed will be applied to the study of blood flow downstream of repaired mitral valves. The aim is to study the impact of these repairs on the flow of the heart.
