Abstract

This work carries out, in partnership with Renault, a study and development of a resistance force prediction model based on dynamic equations, to integrate a project that aims to provide to a pilot, information about the load of the vehicle battery at the moment. For example, if it is or is not sufficient to complete a route established by the vehicle navigation system from a point A to a point B. Thus, it was necessary to develop a state of the art on vehicular longitudinal dynamics, followed by a study about how to obtain a velocity profile, used as an input to the constructed model in Simulink. The simulations, carried out with the model, allowed observing the influence of each of the resistance forces and also performing the estimation of Road Load coefficients.
