Abstract
This study focuses on the early stages of the design of a small wind turbine. First we did a bibliographical study to determine the size of the wind turbine, its twist angle, the wing prole and the chord distribution. This sizing was done taking into account the external parameters of the environment in which we plan to make the wind turbine evolve. In a second part, we modeled a blade on a CAD software. The goal was then to calculate the power recovered by the blade. We used two simulation softwares. First, to ensure the neness of the mesh and the relevance of the results, we performed static studies, i.e. an air ow through the propeller without it rotating. Finally, a dynamic study by putting the propeller in rotation allowed us to calculate the power that could be generated by the wind turbine.
