Abstract

Simulating laser-plasma acceleration requires very accute codes, that allow to appreciate phenomena occuring at diverse scales, from nano- to centimeters. Nevertheless, they are very prone to numerical noise and disturbance. After giving an overall view of such a process, this document details the integration of a promising new model in particle-in-cell code WarpX, which is expected to remove Numerical Cherenkov Instability (NCI). However, despite a right implementation asserted by simulations, unsatisfying results towards NCI lead to consider and adapt another part of the algorithm and therefore undertaking a theorotical work on continuity equation.
