Abstract
Spectro-imaging is one of the fundamental tools of astronomical observation. It is based on a state-of-the-art technology of optical instrumentation. We report on the mathematical modelling and the first developments of a sub-wavelength pattern used as a dispersor on the MOEMS based spectro-imager BATMAN. This structure should enable a manufacturing with reduced production errors as well as an optimized reflection efficiency on a widerange bandwidth (400-1100nm). Therefore, our work highlights the alternative provided by the meta-surfaces as compared to gratings designed with current technology. This is an interesting path to develop for further research in order to improve the structure performance.
