Abstract

In the context of particle physics, many questions still arise: what is the origin of the spin of the nucleon, what is the origin of the mass of the nucleon, how to image the nucleon in several dimensions, ... These questions, so complex, require the establishment of various experiments at very high energies. That is why the EIC project was born: to create a brand-new particle accelerator able to answer these questions. To operationalize such an accelerator, it is necessary to size its detector, composed of many sensors, in particular with the help of preliminary numerical simulations. By carrying out these numerical simulations and by bringing a statistical analysis, one obtains in particular the resolution and the acceptance of the detector, and this, for each particle generated from the observed reaction. Finally, the analysis if the obtained values will show that they are close to those expected, and in any case consistent with the requirements of the detector except for the acceptance.
