Abstract
The subject of this internship is the formulation of an optimal power flow problem (OPF) for low voltage networks with a high penetration of renewable energy sources. The idea is to use the flexibility of power electronic converters to maintain the voltage levels in the lines within the specified limits. Indeed, during periods of low power consumption and high generation, around noon, voltage levels tend to increase as one moves away from the point of connection with the medium voltage grid. Solar inverters can be used to consume/produce reactive power to regulate voltage levels and avoid these problematic surges. It is this regulation that our problem focuses on. It can be modeled as an OPF in which the electrical network is known and the variables to be optimized are the active and reactive power produced by the solar inverters under constraints of having the voltage levels between two defined terminals
