Abstract
The paper is about non-linear characterization of thermoacoustic engines. The final goal of my internship was to be able to analyse a thermoacoustic core. For that matter, I had to master a test rig. Simple test cases were studied. I had to make sure that the results I had were matching with the analytical results or results that other people obtained. When it was not the case, I had to find what was the problem and to make sure to solve it. I studied an empty duct and four different perforated plates. Then, I was capable to start working on the thermoacoustic core. With the four perforated plates, we managed to push the loudspeaker hard enough in order to be able to see and analyse the non-linearity effect. The results were way more interesting than what we expected. However, we underestimated the difficulty to analyse non-linearity when it comes to the thermoacoustic core.
