Abstract
Optical systems composed of multiple layers of diffractive elements are not translation invariant. In fact, the diversity of out shape they can generate is large depending of the optical system. During this internship, we explore different methods used in different domains to compare different images. In this report, we mostly focus on techniques from image recognition such as using the shape feature and more specially considering one’s contour and edge. We are also testing different methods from image recognition on our data set such as Shape context and tangent distance. This internship can be seen as a first step to explore on the existing techniques that could be use for this application.
