We are proposing an alternative method for predicting the deformation of slender bodies in a Stokesian flow. The uniqueness of this approach lies in its reliance solely on rigid body theory. We confine our analysis to chains of discrete slender bodies interconnected by springs. To ex- emplify our approach, we examine the deformation of a boomerang and a tri-arm body within a shear flow, and subsequently compare the outcomes to those obtained from an ordinary differential equation (ODE) study.
