Abstract
In this study, we explore gene responses to environmental stresses using Poisson Log-Normal (PLN) models with a Gaussian latent layer. We propose a supervised classification model, PLNLDA, and introduce the PLNQDA model to account for variations in gene dependency structures. Simulations demonstrate that PLNQDA enhances predictions while PLNLDA is favored in terms of BIC.
