Abstract
In this report, we focus on obtaining a probabilistic output for the climate model MERGE using Monte Carlo simulations. This means finding a method to have a sample of outputs of the model when some of the values of input parameters are given as distributions rather than single values. The first part of the work is dedicated to learning more about the model MERGE. In the second part is developed a methodology to obtain Monte Carlo simulations for any optimization problem coded in GAMS. The third and final part is an example of use of this methodology on MERGE, pulling random values for a chosen parameter and storing the resulting output.
