Abstract

Performance optimization plays an essential role in wind and photovoltaic power generation, helping to maximize plant efficiency. During this internship, a series of varied studies were carried out to analyze and improve the performance of power plants. The internship provided an opportunity to put into practice the main methods of performance analysis and optimization. These included analysis of production and meteorological data, to establish performance indicators and diagnose under-performances, as well as field work to carry out in-situ measurements. A tool called PVRT was developed during the internship to make photovoltaic run-tests and performance monitoring of power plants already in operation more efficient.
